The HBCF provides assistance to individuals and their families who are struggling in France.

To qualify for help, applicants must:

  • have income and capital (or savings) below the threshold set by the HBCF each year;
  • have been resident in France for at least two years; and
  • be registered with their local French tax office.

From 1st January 2026, the HBCF will no longer be accepting postal applications for support. All requests must be completed online through this portal.

The application form requires a certain amount of information and documents. The HBCF understands that questions on income and family situation can feel intrusive. However, this information is essential to help the HBCF understand the applicant's situation and provide the most appropriate form of support. Applicants should therefore fill in the form as fully as possible. If an applicant’s profile or the type of support requested does not fall within the scope of the HBCF’s charitable aims, the team will endeavour to suggest other organisations which may be able to help.

The HBCF will respect the confidentiality of any information or documents shared at all times.

Before applying, applicants should ensure they have applied for/are receiving any pensions and allowances from the French and UK authorities to which they are entitled.

For any difficulties in filling out the application, please reach out to the HBCF at +33 (0)1 47 59 07 69 or via email on office@bcfparis.org.

Thank you.
